Hypervision Surgical has further grown its team, with Edward James joining as Software Engineer.
Edward is a Veterinary Surgeon who retrained in Biomedical Engineering in 2014, and has been involved in Biomedical Optics Research since 2016. He has previously worked at Europe’s largest veterinary tertiary referral hospital, with exposure to various specialist services there, including soft tissue surgery, neurology and neurosurgery, orthopaedics, anaesthesia, and radiology.
During his PhD at University College London (UCL), he developed the theory, software, and hardware to validate a novel optical solution to measure blood flow in the brain. He was subsequently awarded the Departmental PhD Paper Prize at UCL for his research, and was also invited to present his research at the world’s premiere biomedical optics conference in 2022. Edward brings a wealth of experience to the team at Hypervision Surgical.
At Hypervision Surgical, he will help further advance the development of our surgical vision and data analytics software platform.
I am excited to be working on disruptive medical technology at the intersection of healthcare, engineering, and research. At Hypervision Surgical, I believe that we are working on transformative technology, and I am thrilled to join the team and be part of the journey!
